Speak To Your Soul
Lord, I have no words.
They are lost in all my thoughts,
worries and cares.
Dearest Child,
then enclose all these things
in the embrace of your Heavenly Father.
Gently place them
in the Heart of my Son.
Allow them to rest
in our Spirit of Love,
then speak to your soul.
Take care my child
and be at Peace.
There is only one word you need.
My word,
a truly Saving Word
The Eternal Word
Speak this word to your soul.
Whisper it softly
~JESUS~
I wrote this piece about fifteen years ago. I was standing in the shower one night wailing aloud to God that I had spent so much time and energy working on several projects and getting very little accomplished. I had been invited to give a talk at Cambridge Prison in Erie, Pennsylvania about a book I had written called; Then, I Look At The Cross. That deadline was fast approaching. Lord, what do I say to women in prison?
I was also part of a Women of Faith Group at my local parish and was asked to speak to these women at our monthly gathering. The women in this group ranged in age from their young twenties to well into their seventies. What do I say to them Lord?
Each Thursday morning, in our small town in Central New York, a group of mothers would get together to pray the rosary for our children. A few of us had older children either in college or out on their own. Most however had children ranging from babies on the way to elementary school.
I would look around the room and was so struck by the wonder of these women who would faithfully come each week through awful snow storms to pray the rosary as their toddlers would be crawling all over them. One day a little boy was actually attempting to sit on his mother’s head! His mother patiently continued immersed in her prayer the entire time! Each of these women brought to prayer such heavy burdens they held in their hearts as well as so many prayers of gratitude for the gifts of grace they had been given. Dear God; What word do you have for them?
Here we are Lord, our hearts are all seeking YOU! What do I say to these women who are all so very different but yet very much the same? The above piece; Speak To Your Soul, is what God the Father gave me to write.
Our world, right now, appears to be immersed in a time of misery where hate and division seem to have the upper hand. That is not God’s plan for us. I pray these words from the tender heart of our creator, Our Abba Father, bless your hearts and reveal to you the balm of love he desires to be in your soul.
God Bless! Elisa
